NOTE: Norwegian customers who order in the online store must provide a social security number (for customs documents). You do this on the last payment page under the Message tab. No VAT is charged by us in Sweden. You can also order certain items from our Norwegian partner Troll Hundefor & utstyr!
Creating a sustainable product is really quite simple. You make the product as durable as possible, with the smallest possible climate footprint. In our case, it's about building wooden sledges that last for over a hundred years and waist belts that you can barely wear out no matter how hard you try. It is also about using recycling whenever possible. Our dog harnesses are, for example, lined with pressed merino wool, which is a residual product from the Swedish company Woolpower's production.
Should any of our products break down - well then we can actually renovate it. We really call it sustainability!
However, the responsibility also lies with you as a customer. Instead of buying a new sledge in fiberglass or plastic, we advocate that you buy a used wooden sledge (Segebaden has made over 300,000 sledges in wood, so they are available!) Or a used fiberglass sledge (if it is already made, we can keep it alive as long as possible).
Our driving force is not to make money. Our driving force is rather to give future generations the opportunity to experience nature in the same way as we ourselves have had the privilege of doing. We want to be a counterforce to the misconception that we must produce more to create employment. We should instead take care of the things we already have!
